One of the most highly anticipated releases in the oi punk scene each year is without a doubt something from the mighty Battle Ruins. Whether it’s a re-press, a new variation, or something completely fresh, fans and a legion of likeminded followers are always eagerly waiting. Earlier this year, Rock ‘N’ Roll Disgrace gave us a reissue of 2018’s incredible *Glorious Dead* LP, but tbut now there is *IV.XII.MMXIX*, a three-track demo originally released only on tape in 2019.
Now, for the first time, these tracks have been pressed on 10" vinyl, complete with three bonus songs recorded live at the band’s 2024 Boston show. The vinyl edition features remastered sound and comes beautifully packaged with new artwork, lyrics, and all the raw energy we’ve come to expect from Battle Ruins.
The original demo was meant to debut at their Paris show in April 2019, but due to delays, it made its first appearance a month later in Cambridge, MA. Despite the rougher edge from being recorded live on a 4-track, these songs—"White Death Calling," "Hell’s Raiders," and "The Storm of Lead"—deliver over 10 minutes of Battle Ruins’ trademark blend of oi, rock, and metal. Their sound, as always, is packed with heroic intensity and pure annihilation.
Now officially licensed from the band, this vinyl release is a must-have for any Battle Ruins fan. Whether you're after the raw, live energy of the bonus tracks or just want to experience their crushing riffs on a superior format, this release is another chapter in their storied legacy.
